The books in this library were written by physicians who practice at NYMD Center and are published by UroLongevity Press. They exist because of something we see every week. A patient arrives having already been treated somewhere else. The symptom did not resolve, or it resolved and came back, and what the patient wants now is not a faster answer but the whole explanation: what the organ is doing, why the first treatment was chosen, what it cost them, and what the alternatives were. A twenty-minute visit cannot hold all of that. A book can.
We write the way we practice. Each title starts with mechanism, because a patient who understands why a bladder empties poorly or why a PSA rises is a better partner in deciding what to do about it. Each one is honest about trade-offs, and each follows the group's governing rule: consider the least invasive option first, and say plainly what every treatment costs in recovery and risk before saying how well it works.
The books connect directly to care here. The prostate title follows the same screening and surveillance pathway we use in the office, from PSA testing to MRI, biopsy and active monitoring. The longevity title explains the panel we run in our longevity program and how we read it over time. The book on eating is the counseling that underlies our weight-management program. If you are a patient, you may recognize your own conversation with your doctor in these pages, which is the point; several of the books were written first as gift books for patients of the practice. If you are not yet a patient, the books are a way to see how we think before you decide to see us.
Each book states its commercial-interest disclosure plainly. The authors treat the conditions they write about, and readers should know that going in.
