Our team specializes in rapid testing ranging from allergies, COVID-19 (Rapid, PCR, and Antibody), to genetic testing with rapid results. Don’t hesitate to schedule an appointment with our team so you can receive a proper diagnosis for your issues.

Are There Different Types Of Genetic Testing?

Different panels of genetic testing can be ordered depending on what is being tested for. Our team will work with you and help determine which panel offers the most diagnostic benefits. The panels can include:

    • The Common Hereditary Panel: This panel looks at genes to help identify cancer in the breast, ovary, uterus, prostate, and gastrointestinal system, including the stomach, colon, rectum, small bowel, and pancreas.
    • The Multi-Cancer Panel: As a bit more extensive than the previously listed panel, the multi-cancer panel screens for cancer that includes breast, ovary, uterus, colorectal, gastric, pancreatic, prostate as well as endocrine, genitourinary, skin, brain/nervous system, sarcoma, and hematologic.

Most major insurance companies help cover the cost of genetic testing, and our team will work to help you understand the expenses before calling for this procedure.

Testing Q&A

What Issues Can We Test For?

When faced with pain and discomfort, there are a plethora of issues that could be the culprit. Upon your initial contact with our team, we’ll ask questions to help narrow down what may be the problem. Based on your answers, we’ll pair you with a member of our team that can best identify the problem. Our test can help diagnose a wide range of issues which include, but are not limited to:

What Are Some Basic Testing Procedures?

To ensure the testing can be done quickly and efficiently, we want our patients to arrive prepared. Depending on the issue, there are different methods of testing that can be performed. We recommend trying to come to our facility with a full bladder in case a urine sample is needed. Swabbing is also a method that is commonly used in our facility. We’ll do our best to let you know which testing protocols will be utilized before coming in for your appointment when possible.

Why Is Genetic Testing So Important?

One additional method we’d like to call out that can be very beneficial to our patients is genetic testing. For patients dealing with any type of cancer, earlier detection plays a crucial role in increasing the odds of treatment being effective. That is why germline genetic testing is so important. The results of these tests can help patients in the below ways:

  • Provide guidance for recurrent disease.
  • Provide guidance for second-line systemic therapy.
  • Detect if the patient is at risk for other forms of cancer.
  • Help predict if a patient’s relatives are also at risk of developing cancer.

What Happens After The Tests Are Completed?

Our team knows that waiting on your test results can be a stressful time. We promise we do everything in our power to deliver results as quickly as possible. Once the results have been found, we’ll move forward with the recommended treatment. Should tests come back inconclusive, we may have you return so a new set can be run. Rest assured that no matter the issue, our team will not stop until your condition has been properly diagnosed.
